MediaTransition.com® 

MediaTransition.com® specializes in helping  media companies develop and execute strategic plans that involve improving efficiencies and increasing the volume of quality video content.  A primary focus is on video content disseminated on mobile and other digital platforms.  

MediaTransition’s teaching strategies are presented by a combination of Emmy Award-winning journalists and former news managers, college educators and award-winning news photographers.

Customized teaching modules are built to maximize employee engagement in an energetic, interactive hands-on environment.  Each environment is customized and conducive to appropriate skill and learning levels; beginner, intermediate and advanced.

Drew Berry

The owner and lead instructor  of MediaTransition.com is two-time Emmy winner Drew Berry. He has more than 25-years of experience as a journalist.  He is currently the Executive Director of the National Association of Black Journalists; an advocacy organization with 4000+  (four thousand plus) members.  He is a former CBS News Director in Philadelphia, former Executive Producer for WABC-TV in New York City, E.W. Scripps News Director and TV Station General Manager, and news manager at Belo Corporation’s flagship news station, WFAA-TV, in Dallas.



Berry served on the prestigious Comcast/NBC Diversity Advisory Board and was a Director for MedStar Health, Inc., a large health care organization in the Washington, DC and Baltimore region.  He has been a board member or committee advisor for many business, non-profits and community organizations over the years.  He also taught media management at Hampton University  in  Hampton, VA.



 

Berry has been involved in the execution of numerous transitional and transformational strategic plans.  His rich experience in developing and executing those strategies provide him the insight to understanding the opportunities along with the complexities and sensitivities involved in  organizational transitions.

 

​Berry strongly believes that “challenges are opportunities in disguise.”   It’s a mantra he adopted and embraces as his view on life .  He firmly believes it is applicable to evolving cultures and operational changes in news operations.
